The rain in Spain stays mainly...
Oct. 8th, 2002 12:47 pm...in Fort Worth. Or so it appears. Dreary rainy day all day yesterday, and today, too. And apparently the weather has just realized it's October, and is dumping November's water load on us while cooling down for fall. Despite the sogginess of the city, I'm enjoying the departure from 90+ degree heat. However, this weather is the sort that makes you want to curl up in front of a fire with a mug of hot cocoa and go nowhere and do no work.
Speaking of work...
I preen! WHO got the top class score on the first Marine Ecology exam? WHO? *dances* People HATE me. Excellent!
Okay, not really. I did get the highest score, but as I don't think there's a curve, I'm no curve-breaker. I'm pleased with my grade, though. Been worried about that class. The professor and I seem to communicate on two different wavelengths.
alliath knows what I'm talking about... class discussions are like with Dinkelacker. "So, what is the answer?" Me: "Well, -insert explanation here-." Him: "No, -insert long diatribe, concluding with exactly what I said.-"
In other news, if all goes well, this evening I will be back on broadband at home! Yes, folks - this is actually cheaper than maintaining a phone line + a dial-up account. So my phone line and my earthlink account will go bye-bye, and my cell phone and ethernet connection will be my links to the outside world. Hwei!
alliath,
laris, good luck with your move-in!
whisperflight, I reiterate: Move. Before bug-spirits begin to manifest themselves in more than just tiny-creature form...
