Hurrah, hormones!
Aug. 4th, 2003 06:15 pmI do so love being on a high and a low at the same time. A female's prerogative, but it's damned frustrating.
I had a really weird dream yesterday during my five-hour nap, featuring a couple I had a falling-out with after high school. (
alliath, you know the pair I mean. You were in it, too. We were at a con, and you left to get something from the car when they showed up, so as not to commit murder.
troutqueen was also there, dressed up as Tifa and doing a comedy routine for the audience while I held up a posterboard diagram. Go fig.) I hadn't thought about them in a long time, so it really came out of the blue, and started me thinking about what I was like in high school, and how far I've come, and what I've accomplished, and the fact that - GACK - that was almost ten years ago. Bad ideas to think about those things, all around. There's a lot of fodder there for a mini-midlife-crisis, but I am not quite so hormonal as to rant on my LJ. Yet. ;)
Meanwhile, my short attention span has demanded I start a new game. Wild ARMs 3 rocks. I am addicted already. However, I won't be able to pick it up for a while, which makes me sad. Tomorrow's another 5 am morning at the zoo, an afternoon nap after a shower to divest myself of alfalfa at the Casa del Cleo (so named for the household cat, who definitely rules the roost), and then work. No PS2 for me until Wednesday at least.
Save versus cute, or die: One of the 'treat' items for the okapis is a hibiscus flower. Picture animal with sweet, brown giraffe-shaped face and big doe-eyes, happily eating an enormous red flower. Eeeeeeeee!
The worst part about the alfalfa hay, really, is the dust that gets up your nose. Everything you drink tastes faintly of alfalfa for eight hours.
