Okay!

Committee meeting (subtitle: "Does Elisel Have A Thesis?") was Thursday night. Answer is "probably." The parts to fix the machine are 'in the mail' (cue ominous music) and should supposedly be affixed to the non-working bits in such a way as to make the machine work again by December 1st. That, then, is the date of re-starting the project.

What this means:

1) I will be in Memphis for Thanskgiving. YATTA!

2) I have no idea when I will get to Memphis for Christmas. Depends on how long it takes to collect okapi urine.

3) I will be - guess where? - in early January, during the last part of my Christmas break. Where? Where could you possibly NOT want to go in MID-WINTER? NEBRASKA, OF COURSE!

I love my life. Really, I do.

I shall now curl up in the corner and giggle madly.

I have a mom who sends me muck boots, a purple pocket knife, and a wireless network card for my birthday.

I have a mom who makes fun of my failure to set up the wireless network, writes me to tell me that *hers* worked without any trouble, and asks if she needs to come to Texas to hold my hand while I get it running.

I have a mom who has a bust of Stonewall Jackson and a portrait of Robert E. Lee in her home.

But, most of all, I have a mom who says, "I don't want to hear a peep about ___X___!"

I love, love, LOVE my mom. *^_^*

It works so much better when she's 500 miles away....
