Benma has reminded me that our college friend, computer-god Mankin, has a father who is a NOAA bigwig. He has offered to ask Mankin if his dad can put in a good word for my application.
Also, my sister Knows People(tm) in the DNR of South Carolina. Because when you were a bartender for upward of ten years, you know everybody. She's calling to see if they're looking for any biologists.
