I feel dirty.

After an uneventful day yesterday behind the desk at Kaplan, which proved a nice opportunity to wind down and catch up on e-mail between bouts of answering the phone and assisting students, I went to G's going-away party. She's been an awesome boss and I'll miss her terribly, but I really, really like her replacement, so all is well in that arena - except that G will be greatly missed.

The party was at an absolute dive on the corner of Mendenhall and Winchester - yes, THAT area, right around the corner from the infamous Emerald Square where I used to live with andric, alliath, and demonlet. To be honest, I perhaps dreaded the evening a little bit on the outset. It's a karaoke bar, and I've tried karaoke before, and not enjoyed it much. But I had a lot more fun than I thought I'd have, and even sang a few times.

I was supposed to go to Mikasa tonight with the Captain and GT for a very belated birthday dinner, but they've postponed (for the second time), so we're eating in. Bah. Not enough time tonight for online goodness, so I'll use my time to try and get ahead on lecture materials for this week's A&P class.

And do laundry. I think I would like very much to wear socks tomorrow.
