Mixed Emotions

I didn't get the job.

I'd convinced myself that I was content either way, but I'm more disappointed than I expected to be.

But I'm also excited - this means I'll be able to devote myself primarily to my PhD this fall. I'll still be a contractor for DEQ, but I'll reduce my hours to something manageable, and take three classes and the RAship (hopefully - I may have to do a TAship at this late date). I'm shooting my prof an e-mail now to let him know.
