So, I have a confession to make: Though I wanted to see everyone, I was honestly not looking forward to the portrait aspect of
rabidlemur's birthday party. I'm not good at being on either side of a camera, and not very artistic, visually speaking. But I went because I love Lemur and wanted to be there for his birthday celebration.
I had a BLAST.
It was really fascinating watching everybody dress up and pose, and seeing what sort of ideas people came up with for photos. I have some amazingly talented, photogenic, and creative friends, and it was cool to see everybody in action. I'm really looking forward to round two - and hopefully this time I'll have a chance to bring my own costumes and props for general use.
Pleasant surprises are good! :)
Edit: The spoils of our evening are
here. Damn, my friends are talented AND beautiful. The pictures are awesome!
Today's for housework and homework, and at the moment I'm taking a break from reading assignments and doing laundry to have some dinner and mentally unwind, a bit. I've got a goal for this evening, which is to finish my reading for this week (another 60 pages or so, which will take me a while) and to work through the godawful hydrology equations that I should probably learn how to solve before my test next week. :P If I can get those things done today, I'll be pleased, and feel a lot better about my workload.
