Today's WTF
Apr. 23rd, 2008 10:41 amSo, Time Magazine says Obama is showing signs of stress. "The candidate now limits his availability to the political press corps, and recently snapped at a reporter who tried to ask a question while he was eating breakfast at a Pennsylvania diner."
My problem here is not the allegation that Obama is showing the strain of this endless campaigning - he may be. My problem is that the writer seems to think it's inappropriate for Obama to be upset that the media accosted him during a meal.
Dude. He was eating breakfast. He was not behind a podium. He was not even travelling from Point A to Point B surrounded by other political figures. He was eating breakfast. It was early and he was hungry. Probably he had not yet had his coffee. If I got accosted by a reporter that early in the day, I'd snap at him, too. Because I was eating breakfast.
I'm not particularly partial to Obama, but give the guy a break.
At least until he's done with his bacon and eggs.
