Eddie Izzard...
Jun. 4th, 2008 08:48 am...was awesome! Things were chaotic so I didn't get to say hello to everyone I knew at the theatre (a large proportion of pretty much all the people I know, PERIOD, were there last night) but the show was fantastic. We-the-Oxford-crew had to bail out quickly after it was over, since many of us had to get up way too early this morning. I'm groggy and tired-eyed today, but it was totally worth it.
We also had one of the most abysmal experiences I've ever endured in the Majestic Grille last night. I think what really ticks me off about the whole shebang was not that things went wrong, but that when things started going wrong (a meal not served an hour and a half after we'd been seated, mixed-up checks and unserved drinks) there was absolutely no effort made to put them right, or indeed, acknowledge that anything was wrong at all. It makes me sad because I really like the Majestic's food, but I won't trust them to get me to a show on time again.
I've received checks from several people to repay me for purchasing the Izzard tickets. God knows what the bank is going to think when they read the memos written on the 'For' line, which include, and I quote:
I love my friends.

- Nudity Tax
- Coffee and breakfast
