I vacated!
Jun. 21st, 2008 09:54 pmOr vacationed. That thing where you go somewhere else and don't work for a while? I DID IT.
I visited my Dad for almost a week on Fripp Island, walked on the beach, fed the deer, bicycled, read, ate a lot of good food, and generally relaxed. It was a much-needed respite. Thursday we hit the ocean for some reef fishing, and though we didn't catch anything worth keeping, it was a great day to be out on the water.
I got home last night, just in time for this afternoon's Slip-n-Slide* party with the rest of the Bio-Grads. Yeah. We're a serious, intellectual bunch, we are. Always focused on our education.
*Side note: It turns out Slip-n-Slide is rather more painful when you're an adult than when you are a child. Flinging yourself down onto the ground involves a good deal more weight, and thus a great many more bruises and scrapes.
