Save vs. Cute: EPIC FAIL.
Jul. 1st, 2008 06:39 pmThere's a young couple in my neighborhood with a tiny daughter. She is, perhaps, one? Possibly younger. I don't know; I can't age children well. But she's in the stroller-stage.
One or both members of the couple - most often the father, which I think is particularly adorable - strolls their little girl around our wee neighborhood a couple of times every day, weather permitting. It's the best thing ever. I'm not sure why this touches me so much, except that our neighborhood is generally so very bland, but they take her out for the scenery anyway. It's like they are saying, "Every little thing we can possibly give you, little girl, you shall have."
They stop a lot outside of my house, because apparently the little girl's favorite thing in the world is my wind chimes. I went outside yesterday because I thought something had really upset Irene, and it turned out it was the little girl, this tiny thing that cannot walk, squealing happily at my wind chimes.
Burble. ♥
It's a good feeling, making a tiny person laugh.
