WTF?! Why are the lawn fairies mowing at TEN AFTER SEVEN IN THE MORNING?

I'd understand if this were the summer and they needed to get going before it gets hot, but it's freezing out there. All right, not literally, but close to it. So why are they out there making an awful racket right beside our bedrooms at a time when a lot of people are still asleep?
