Tomorrow: Be productive!
Jan. 21st, 2009 11:08 pmThat is my goal.
Classes have started up again at the school and I'm auditing a Conservation & Evolution class, partially because it's going to be an interesting topic taught by one of my favorite professors, and partially because I need something to keep me in touch with the department. Otherwise it's just too easy to put things off. My self-motivation is weak compared to my capacity to be distracted by shiny, pointless things.
Things to do in the morning (I list them here to bore you. No, actually, it helps motivate me to know that SOMEONE ELSE HAS SEEN my plans):
1)GET UP. This is a very important step.
2)Pack a lunch. I've been eating out way too often lately. Also, I have tasty food in the fridge.
3)Pay bills in town. Getting the power turned off this week? Not a good plan.
4)Stop by the greenhouse. Locate tables & tally available potting materials.
5)Talk to profs about letters of recommendation / references for grant applications.
6) Go to class, cello lesson.
*Bonus: I'm in the lab now, working on some data analysis and one of the statements of work I have to turn in for the Garden Club Scholarship.
That looks like a lot, but really it shouldn't be. As long as I don't sleep till ten. (Seriously, Step 1 is the most critical, and also the easiest to ignore.)
P.S. - Yes, Casper. 'Feed the cats' is also on the list.
P.P.S. - No, Casper. 'Feed the cats a canary' is NEVER going to be on the list.
