Serendipity.

Today was just a fantastic day.

I woke up, for once, early enough to enjoy a cup of tea while I was getting ready for work. Somehow that makes all the difference between feeling rushed and feeling relaxed in the morning. (It was some more of the Keemun Imperial, hawklady. It looked like you made up a small bag for each recipient of the tea box, so I kept one. I liked that one even better the second time!). You'd think this would move me to get up earlier... ... but, no. Usually, it does not.

Today was playing-in-traffic day, so I sampled Horn Lake Creek off the bridge, and did NOT get hit by a car (always good!), then met up with rabidlemur for lunch. Thanks, Lemur! It really gave me something to look forward to all morning.

I was all kinds of sleepy when I got back to the office, but had a pretty lazy afternoon. My partner-in-crime P____ showed up from the Central Office in Jackson, a little before closing time, and so we met up for dinner after work. Boiled Crawfish + Guinness + Good Company = an excellent evening. Also? Girl Scout Cookies for dessert. Envy me.

Also, I got a package in the mail from my dad and stepmonster! I love mail. ♥ They sent me some Origins lotion for St. Patty's Day, and a really excellent picture of them at their most recent soiree. My dad looks good in a tux! Most of my pictures of him involve dead deer or turkeys or cleaning fish, so this one is definitely getting framed.

I'm going to top my happy day off with a soak in the tub, and then crash.
