Phrase of the day: "Feral European honeybees"

It makes me envision roving gangs of mangy honeybees prowling the city streets, beating up children and ... uhm ... leaving them pots of honey?

I did not know that our "domesticated" honeybees are actually introduced from Europe. I guess technically the escaped ones are feral, but the phrase still makes me giggle.

It also implies that if you look in the right place you can find sweet, cuddly honeybees that just want to be loved. Adopt a honeybee today, kids! But remember to be a responsible pet owner and spay or neuter your bee.
