Ow.
I walked into my first prickly pear cactus today. Probably not my last, alas: The stuff is everywhere out there, and it HIDES and waits to ambush you. They are vicious ninja-trained plants.
The only thing that hurts worse than smacking into the spines is yanking them out again. They are barbed.
