Gosh, I had almost forgotten how much fun it is to get all your paperwork in order for school. After visiting about five different offices today, I know what classes I'm probably going to be taking, when and probably how much I'm getting paid, what I am probably likely to be teacing, and what I will probably have to take from Tarrant Community Collge instead.

Nice to know that I accomplished something with all my travelling today - even if it is a whole list of maybes.

My tentative teaching assignment? Current Issues in Biology! Yes, folks, I get the nonmajors lab! Woooo. A whole bunch of people who figured bio would be easier than chem or physics for their elective core requirement... The good news is that this gives me a lot of flexibility in which sessions I teach. The other good news is that I was specifically told, "Arrange your class schedule first. Then we'll arrange *this* to suit *you*." That's always a good sign.

My tentative course schedule? See below. I'll go back to the registrar's office tomorrow to actually sign up:

  • BIOL 50713: Marine Ecology (Wooooo!)
  • BIOL 60011: Research in the Biological Sciences (Required. Dinky 1-hour.)
  • BIOL 60910: Seminar (Biogeography of Texas) (Required. Dinky 1-hour.)
  • PSYC 50423: Graduate Statistics (Yeargh! I'm surrounded by the Future Head-Shrinkers of America!)

My Tarrant County College class? Undergrad Physics. -.- Why I may not get in: Must do paperwork tango, get transcripts and registration paperwork to them somehow by next Monday, when classes start. Yikes!

Ah, the world of studentdom!
