Greetings from the Frozen Northland!

...and I do mean frozen. It hasn't gotten above 30 since my arrival last week. Which means that the 8-10 inches of snow we got on Thursday are still on the ground - or beside the road, in drifts taller than I am. Yeah, yeah, I know this isn't a big deal for most people - but I find, after not quite a week here, it still impresses the hell out of me.

So. I am learning about enzyme immunoassays, and have run analyses on most of my samples. Gotta re-run a few today because the replications didn't turn out right... then I might actually be done.

I still have no idea what the heck it all means. Rah!

But I feel all cool... you know how you feel like your mom, when you cook something complicated? This week I feel like [livejournal.com profile] whisperflight. But that might just be the frustration of a couple hundred minute tests involving, you know, acids and salt and chemistry ... ... stuff.

Oh, yes. Made a snow angel. You can make really good snow angels in a foot and a half of accumulation.

Have not yet had a three-foot icicle fall on my head. All is well.
