I'm so productive, I scare me.
Mar. 25th, 2004 02:11 pmYesterday got up at 6 am and baked bread. Well, actually, I baked bricks. New starter's not cooperating. But I tried! Went to class, revised quiz draft for Monday, did other school-related paperwork, scheduled meeting at zoo with delinquent advisor next Thursday. Swallowed nerves and handed major thesis advisor the rough, rough, still-half-outline of my thesis draft for review. (I'd rather him tell me early on if I'm on the right or wrong track with my structure, major points, etc. Why is it that even when you're writing something technical, you feel like you're handing your soul away when you hand over rough drafts?) Went to work, stayed till after midnight. Went home and crashed.
Today got up ... somewhat later ... worked out, came in and met with my *other* advisor to talk about statistics, cortisol, and writing up enzyme immunoassays. He was very encouraging, both in terms of my results and in terms of the progress I've made. Had some good suggestions for me, too. Again, swallowed nerves and handed him a copy of rough-rough-draft for hack-and-slash. Turned in finished quiz for Monday to other professor - now getting ready for another stint at work.
Still need to schedule my oral exams - they'll be sometime in mid-April, I think. Yikes! Must take bio books to work with me tonight and do some reading up. Meanwhile, after I get my drafts from these guys - and after I meet with zoo people; they are REALLY slow, grrr - I can get some serious rewriting done. Then maybe one more round with the committee, and draft will go out to my technical proofer. (Read:

Go, me. *pats self on back*
