Went to Scarborough Faire, the Waxahachie ren fest, yesterday. Very cool - not as big as TexRenFest, but also notably only 45 minutes away.
Two major accomplishments:
1) Ordered a pair of![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
accipiter boots. That's the only word I have for them: Knee-high leather boots with bone buttons, lined with lamb's wool. Custom-fit. SOOOOO comfortable. Will get them in 6-8 weeks. Just don't ask what I paid for them.
2) Gotalliath the BEST PRESENT EVAR. It wasn't altruisum; it was knowing that if she ever heard I'd had access to one and not gotten it for her, she would have killed me. No, really. I am so pleased with myself. And there's absolutely no chance that I'll be able to hang onto it for Christmas, so... when do I get to see you next, ali? :P
Had more bizarro dreams last night, but the only part I remember is riding down a hill in Augusta on a scooter with my grandmother. See what happens when I'm allowed to get sleep?
