I mock those more talented than me.
Aug. 18th, 2004 12:31 amWent to the Casa del Ewing for dinner and, it turns out, an evening of MST'ing the Olympics. Our observations:
1) Floor exercise/balance beam - All the participants were clearly attacked by a glitter-beast immediately before the filming began.
2) Regatta (AKA WTF?!?) - We were mystified by this event. It looked like a bunch of guys playing bumper boats to us. But listening to the commentary on Brazil's gold medalist, Robert Scheidt, was worth watching EVERY MINUTE of it.
"Scheidt is now in 2nd place... .... Scheidt is being passed! ... ... Scheidt is breaking wind...."
I have no doubt the man is more talented athletically than I could ever hope to be. Also, it looked like he was having a lot of fun out there in that little boat. But I still win by virtue of last name. Poor Bob.
