Dec. 27th, 2004 01:03 amSaw The Aviator today with Dad and the stepmonster - mostly dragged along with them to avoid looking antisocial, although I had zero interest in the movie. Academically, I can agree with
troutqueen's assessment: It is a Good(tm) movie, in a way the film buffs categorize movies as good.
This did not mean I enjoyed it. I spent most of the movie bored out of my mind, interested in that 'it's in front of me so I wonder what's going to happen next' kind of way, and after seeing the ending, left the theater feeling miserable. Jesus, Scors--Grampa, why did you read me this?
I did, however, get a kick out of watching them cast all the old Hollywood stars. Was Errol Flynn really that much of a drunken asshole?
