Wow. Hello, morning!
Jan. 24th, 2005 10:35 amI've been on an almost normal sleep schedule this week - so much so that I actually wake up at 9 or 10 am of my own accord. This may seem like nothing to you people who work, but when I'd edged back to being unable to drag myself out of bed before noon or one, it's quite an improvement!
This weekend: Busy, but excellent! Although I missed the game, the Melting Pot was extreeeeeemely tasty. It's both a pity and a blessing that I am not extravagant enough to eat there more often.
storm_dancer points out that it was healthy food: The meat was all really lean (and super-tasty!), for example, and there were definitely veggies involved.
I'm not sure I buy the part about the POTS OF MELTED CHEESE AND CHOCOLATE being dairy products and thus good for us, but shhhh. Calories consumed in company don't count, anyway.
The same goes for the cup of Chantico Iinjected directly into my vein imbibed last night after we folded crab rangoon at
trout_queen's.
Having acquired a hankering to show some folks Pirates of Penzance (we love you, Kevin Kline! <3 <3 <3 <3) and The Pirate Movie, I checked out amazon.com this morning to discover the formats in which they've been released. Pirates is out on DVD, which makes me very happy! ...But Pirate Movie is still only available on VHS - and a copy is $30.00. WTF is up with that??? Grr! I revert to haXXOr slang in my ire! I thought only anime was that expensive. Sure, it was a campy parody made in 1982, full of more cheese than the Melting Pot, but... but.... BUT! It was an excellent movie. In, y'know, a 'bad movie of the early 80's' kind of way. DVD, darnit! DVD!
Also, behold: My beautiful kitty in my icon. <3
