Glee and Weirdness
Mar. 23rd, 2005 07:17 amGLEE: I got a call yesterday from my contact at the MS-AL Sea Grant Consortium, that nice man who recommended my application to the NOAA people. I've made the national cut! This means I'm a finalist for a 2005 Coastal Management Fellowship. They're sending me to Charleston in mid-April for the placement workshop!
Caveat: It doesn't mean I'll get one of the Fellowships - there are six jobs, and twelve of us. So it's either going to really, really rock.... or really, really suck. But I'm thrilled to have gotten this far. It makes me feel better about my marketability.
WEIRDNESS: I had my first genuine Shadowrun-based nightmare last night. It featured Bane and a dragon who was in human form, eating babies and small animals and things. It was gross. Yet my 'GM' for this monstrous thing was
alsafi, so the blame credit goes to both her and
rabidlemur. Thanks for making me wake up in a foul mood, guys!
Caveat: ...Okay. The baby-eating was gross, but the rest of the dream was actually pretty cool.
