Morning comes too damn early!
May. 29th, 2005 09:34 amIf I could just talk it into delaying a few hours, I'm sure Morning and I would get along much better. But somehow, it's always right there waiting as soon as I wake up. What a shame. We could have been so beautiful together.
Luau: Much fun (though I forgot my rubber duckie)! Special thanks to
storm_dancer, , and Go's friend, who through a collaborative effort created the tastiest kabobs I have ever eaten. I stayed too long for my sleep-deprived body, and left too early for my liking.
Going to try to make Man of La Mancha today, if my assay behaves. I'll do my best.
Tonight will be a showing of The Last Unicorn, chiefly for the benefit of
shutterbugjones, who has not seen it since she was tiny. This must be rectified! Troutpond, 7 pm. Bring your own food. (Also possibly earplugs: Mia Farrow singing is not a pretty thing. Fortunately, that part is only about ten seconds of the movie.)
Side Story:
There are many times at which I wish I were
alsafi... usually when I'm trying to cook something. This morning, however, I'm glad I wasn't.... because if I were, I would be dead on the highway right now. Driving to work this morning, I felt something go *plop* right down on my nose, and saw a black speck out of the corner of my eye which I suspected had eight legs. Swerved a bit as I took off my glasses and shook them off, made sure they were arachnid-free, and put them back on (because being able to see as you drive is a good thing). Kept driving, occasionally feeling something crawl on me. I was out of the car at the zoo before I finally found the spider, clinging to the front of my shirt.
Dear spider: Thank you for not biting me. I hope you enjoy your new home in the zoo service area. Love, me.
