Jun. 25th, 2005 04:58 pmI am back from my sojourn. The short summary follows:
Wedding: Nice. See poll below.
Father's Day: I won brownie points with dad and step-dad. Go, me. Feeling good about my decision to venture, with much caution, into the tastefully pre-written mushy cards. (Generally, I fear these things.)
Interview: Felt good to me, but what do I know? I'll hear back around July 5th. Regardless, I can honestly say that I have never before been to a job interview that included washing an oily goose carcass. It was a fun day.
Delaware: Bleah. Dubious about the whole moving-away thing. We'll see what/if they offer me, in terms of incentive. Besides, y'know, my DREAM JOB. ;_; Why can't the decisions be easy ones?
Coming Home: WONDERFUL. I went outside today and walked along the blackberry bushes, plucking the first of the ripe berries and eating them as I went. Sure, I'm stealing them from the birds, but given all the birdseed we leave out in the yard, it seems like a fair trade to me.
