Many thanks to those who came by Caspian last night to wish me a happy birthday. Truly, I feel loved. <3
Eerily, I also met my college Anthropology professor there. And we remembered each other. This would be less strange if he were a bio prof, but I only EVER took Anthro from Dr. S, it was an elective, and that was nine or ten years ago. Creepy.

Regarding my continued radio silence: IT HAS ENDED. The short explanation is that I was asked, on very little notice, to offer some assistance to a prior employer for a couple of weeks. It was the same project I'd worked on when I worked for them before, so I was very excited to be asked.
And this entailed working from about 9pm to 6am, every night for a week and a half.
And this meant that for two weeks I was working THREE part-time jobs. Sleep was at a premium, and usually from about 11am to 5 pm during the day. Online time was right out.
However, that's done now. I ought to be able to pocket a very nice check in a week or so, and now I can catch back up with my life. This week is decently busy, but I'll have time to keep up with LJ, check Portal posts, and - hurrah! - get some FLegends time in. ROCK.
