Mumblemumblemurdermumble...
Sep. 30th, 2005 03:46 pmToday has, thus far, proven an interesting mixture of annoying and amusing - in the sort of exasperated way one laughs at one's life, because hey, it's not permanent.
Today during the lab practical:
Student: "Does spelling count?"
Me: "Yes."
Student: (in a reproving tone) "But there are a loooot of words..."
DAMMIT. WHAT WERE WE THINKING WHEN WE WROTE THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE USING WORDS??
This afternoon after grading said exams, I decided to crash out and take a nap for an hour before work. Silly me. Everyone knows naps are when people call you. After the first two phone calls in fifteen minutes, I have given up napping, and am heading to the zoo to attempt to fill out last week's time card.
I'm sure a liger will eat me.
