Serendipity
Dec. 14th, 2005 11:18 amToday has just been all over good - and I've only been awake for an hour (which, in and of itself, is awesome).
1) I DID NOT HAVE CLASS TODAY. <3 <3 <3
2) A friend in church choir put me in contact with someone she knows in Mississippi. I talked to him on the phone today, and am probably driving down to Oxford sometime in the next couple of days to discuss doing contract work for the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality. It's not a sure thing, and it wouldn't be full-time (yet), but it would be tremendous experience.
3) I returned a call today from NationWide to give them my current address. Apparently they collected enough money from the guy who caused my wreck last fall (and was uninsured at the time) to repay me my deductible - so they'll be sending me a check in the mail.
With the dubious exception of #1, I did nothing to deserve any of these. I feel like good fortune just dropped itself in my lap.
