The Weekend Report
Jan. 8th, 2007 07:42 amApologies to those of you with whom I was going to see a movie on Saturday. I got a call Saturday morning that basically went "We might need you at work on Sunday," which meant if I wanted to be available to work -- and I did -- I needed to adjust my weekend schedule. (And then, they DIDN'T need me. Ah, well.) That's the short story.

Today, I'm back at work. I'm going to be insanely busy in the evenings and will be shocked if I don't hit sleep-dep by Wednesday (but it's a good sleep-dep! Really!), but there's almost nothing for me to do here at DEQ during the day, so this is where I catch up on e-mail and Portal posts. Saaaaaaad.
Meanwhile, Casper continues to settle in well. (He's actually put on a bit of weight - what is it with my house, and plump kitties?) He and Nexus have not quite made their peace yet --![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
zoonut pulled a claw sheath out of his little face yesterday, so I'm guessing he pushed his luck and got popped for it -- but there is minimal hissing now, and last night while I played the highly addictive Chibi-Robo, Casper was in my lap and Nexus was curled up right beside me, and there was no fussing at all.
He also has a new game. One of his toys is a jingly, fuzzy thing at the end of a string, attached to a stick for "cat fishing," right? Casper likes to pick it up by the toy and drag it around the house when he wants to play, which is possibly the funniest thing I have ever seen. He also likes to pick up the toy and plop it in his food dish, and nevermind the string and stick attached. (*splork* "Yay! I killed it, and now I get to eat it!") HE IS A DARLING.
