Simple things

With my name on a plate beside the door.
And it is full of MAPS.
How much more awesome does it get? <3
Oh, wait. It does get better: I got a research grant from the Graduate Student Council. It's not a large one, but it will get me to Florida to collect plant materials for a pilot project associated with my original dissertation prospectus. So even if I don't get to use it as my dissertation, I will get to do an interesting, possibly publishable study on the subject matter. Which means all my research so far won't be totally wasted.
