Before LiveJournal, there was...
Nov. 9th, 2007 10:56 pmI found my diary tonight. The first entry, transcribed as accurately as possible:
9-29-85
Weather: (Here a little sun is drawn)
"Dear Diary, It has Been an exciting day today. I went to a field trial with my friend. It was nice. We took turns throwing dirt bombs at each other we made a fort out of grass and explored a ditch. a bee buzzed around me. The End."
I was never a very good diary keeper, so the entries skip around a lot.
In my last entry, a spastic sort of update in 1994, I announced my plans to go to Rhodes College, and remarked, "#6 of [The Wheel of Time] is supposed to be the last one. HE CAN'T DIE!" It was Rand I was worried about at the time, of course. Little did I know.
Little did I know about a lot of things. It's hard to imagine a time when I didn't have the friends and memories and heartbreaks that I do now. What a wild ride life is.
