Green Explosion

My basil is three feet tall and going woody at the base. It's so heavy that I had to stake it today to keep it upright. WTF? Who stakes basil?

Meanwhile, my bell peppers, which have languished sadly all summer, have suddenly gone: "Yay! Cool weather!" *POOF* pepper explosion.

And the tomatoes? I've stopped watering them but they just won't die. They might well be zombies.

I think my mini-garden has been possessed by a dryad. I've had less time than ever to keep things tended and watered, and they're doing better than they have all year.

Progress Report

• My comps are set. Written exams run from October 8-14. My orals will be October 22nd. The end is in sight!
  
  
• I had to miss the Memphis barbecue this weekend, but I got a lot accomplished - both in terms of study and in terms of cleaning a home whose messiness is reaching critical mass. Hi, everybody! I miss you! *wavewave*
  
  
• Epic win: OCC ordered the same concert attire I already purchased for Mastersingers Chorale. That's a hundred dollars saved, easily.
  
  
• Unfortunately, that will be spent getting Casper's cavity-tooth removed. Poor baby!
  
  
• Last night I dreamed that benma was trying to assassinate me. Dear Benma: Have I told you how much I admire you lately? Love, me.
